Do you love fashion dolls like Barbie, Fashion Royalty, Poppy Parker, Sindy, Tammy, Jem, Tressy, Blythe, Dawn, Rock Flowers, Ellowynne, Pulip, Tonner, Monster High, Rainbow High or other fashion dolls – whether they are 6 inches or 16 inches? We are an inclusive group catering to collectors of fashion/teen dolls whether they are vintage or the latest thing!

The ABC Doll Club has been in existence for over 30 years, originating with small but devoted bands of collectors in Melbourne and Sydney, and became an incorporated association in 2012.

Our aims are:

  • To promote fashion doll collecting and provide adult collectors of fashion dolls with ideas, information, education and resources to aid all aspects of collecting, through get-togethers, newsletters and the Internet.
  • To foster friendships and a sharing of collecting and ideas.
  • To promote a working relationship and liaise with doll manufacturers and retailers with a view to providing better resources and information to collectors.

The club is operated by a panel of office bearers (President / Secretary / Treasurer / Editor / Webmaster / Archivist) voted in by members. These are ably assisted by State co-ordinators. Each State co-ordinator is responsible for organising get-togethers, which are fun ways to meet and share with other collectors. Get-togethers may be held in members homes or in public meeting places – check the Calendar of Events for details. Co-ordinators can also help you with some of your Barbie questions, or at least point you in the right direction! Each State possesses a library of reference items which members can borrow – contact your co-ordinator if interested.

Our newsletter is sent to members six times a year, full of articles about fashion dolls and collectors, plus pictures and rumours of new dolls, craft projects, collector profiles, calendar of get-togethers, classified advertising and more! Members who contribute articles to the newsletter are awarded points, which can be redeemed for reduced membership fees the following year.

Conventions are held at least every two years, creating a wonderful atmosphere where members from all over the country can meet, buy and sell, take part in workshops, enter competitions and generally have fun! Past conventions have been held in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide, the Gold Coast, Newcastle and Canberra.
